So, once Lucy was born my plan was to begin blogging. I thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with family and friends. I wrote a blog back in September and just published it today. So far not so good at blogging. I am going to attempt it and see how it goes. I am not sure how to make my page look pretty and add fun touches. I guess this will come with time. So a quick update on my life for those that may be interested. I love being a wife and mother. Lucy is now 7 1/2 months old. She is so much fun and a pleasure to know. She is clapping, waving, and trying to start crawling. I am not ready for this yet as my house is a mess and the floors are always dirty. I don't understand this because we instituted a new rule..."No shoes in the house" about a month ago. It seems as if more dirt is now on the floors. I work 2 days a week at a nursing home. I enjoy this yet love staying at home more :) James is still teaching 8th grade math. He enjoys his job most days.
Recently I have been living in a bubble. I have tried keeping Lucy at home as to prevent her from getting sick. So far so good. She has only gotten sick once around Christmas when I decided to take her to our family get togethers. Living in a bubble has not been as bad as I thought it might. I am to the point now where I need to start picking back up hobbies and doing things that challenge me. My brain has become mush and I just hang out and play with Lucy all day. Of course I love this but I think I need some other activities to challenge me also. It is sad when I can't think of things I enjoy doing besides being a mom. So I am going to try to make Lucy a skirt, teething pads for her crib, and try to start working out. My muscle tone is no where to be found. I look lanky and my clothes hang on me. What happened to my "bubble butt" as many would call it. It is sad when my friend tells me her husband saw me and went home and told her that my butt disappeared. I know weird right, but still as you can see a work out is a must.
I am looking forward to warm weather and being outside. I know my days of relaxing on the beach are far gone but if only dreaming brings me a smile, let me dream. As I am closing I realize that I am typing to no one as I have no "followers" to my blog. Maybe someone will read it and if not it was fun typing my Dear Diary entry.
